Sunday Week 4

Fundraiser for Sarah Scott, 30 miles + led an A ride after, same loop, 30 miles

About 150-200 people showed up for the fundraiser. It was fun and for a good cause. After the fundraiser I led an A ride for BCP. Three people I didn't know showed up, which was great. With a fundraiser ride, you can just sit in and draft for the whole thing. When you lead a ride, people kind of expect you to be up front. That took a lot out of me. I'm ready for week 5 to be a rest week. I read in Joe Friel's book Cycling Past 50 that you shouldn't increase your mileage by 10% from year to year. Last year I rode about 3000 miles so I've already increased my mileage by 20% from last year. I have a slight twinge in my left knee. Definintely time for a break, since I'm going away for the weekend coming up anyway. But I've moved from a B/B+ to a A/A- rider this year. So that's good. Can I keep it up or is it all downhill from here?
